Like to Win an iPod Nano?

MONEY's first SMART MONEY TIP competition has now been completed. Thank you to our visitors who submitted tips, whether published or not.

A new competition be will run later on in 2008. All new and previously submitted non-winning tips will be eligible to win the monthly prize.

To be eligible to enter the competition individuals must submit at least one Smart MONEY Tip during the promotional period and have that tip published on the MONEY.com.au website. In each month of the promotional period, the Smart MONEY Tip with the highest number of votes, at midnight on the last day of the month, wins an iPod Nano.

Individuals receive one entry into the monthly competition for each Smart MONEY Tip published on the MONEY.com.au website during the promotional period. Winning entries are not eligible for consideration in later promotions unless the winner has a residential address in South Australia. Winning entries will be determined by the highest number of votes from visitors to MONEY.com.au and chance plays no part in determining the winner.

1. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Entry is only open to visitors to the MONEY.com.au website who are Australian residents, currently residing in Australia. MONEY.com.au Pty. Ltd. employees and their immediate families are ineligible to enter the promotion.

3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to disqualify any Smart MONEY Tip from the monthly competition where it is determined that there has been interference with the voting process.

4. Smart MONEY Tips received outside of the promotional period will not will not be eligible to win a prize.

5. Individuals will automatically receive one entry into the competition for each Smart MONEY Tip published on the MONEY.com.au website during the promotional period which is December 2007, January and February 2008.

6. Smart MONEY Tips removed from the MONEY.com.au site for any reason during the promotional period will not be eligible to win the prizes.

7. The promotion commences on the 1/12/07 and ends at midnight AEST on the 29/2/08. All announcements of winners will be made by the first business day of the next month. Winners will be notified by e-mail and/or by phone where possible. Winners' names will be published on the MONEY.com.au website within 24 hours after the close of voting for that month.

8. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The Smart MONEY Tip entry, with the most votes in that month, will win an Apple iPod Nano that will be forwarded to the winner by registered mail. In the event of two or more entries having the same number of votes, the tip that was submitted first in that month will be declared the winner. In the event that there is a dispute concerning the winner of the monthly prize, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the winner by judging competing entries on merit and creativity.

10. If for any reason a winner does not claim the prize within seven (7) days of end of the competition, the prize will be allocated to the next most popular and eligible Smart MONEY Tip in that prize period.

11. Total prize pool is one (1) Apple iPod Nano. One Apple iPod Nano will be allocated each month to the eligible Smart MONEY Tip entry with the most votes for that month.

12. Entrants consent to the Promoter publishing the entrant's name and State or Territory of residence on the MONEY.com.au website. If your tip has been submitted anonymously and you wish to remain anonymous, we will use the following phrase to respect your wish for anonymity. "Name supplied - not published at winner's request."

13. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as anticipated due to any event beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate within the limits allowed by the various State Government regulations and requirements.

14. Entry into the promotion is free and any cost associated with accessing the MONEY.com.au website is the entrant's sole responsibility.

15. The Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability, for any loss or damage whether direct or indirect arising in any way out of the Promotion. Prize winners assume all risks and liabilities associated with the use of their iPods.

16. In the course of the Promotion the Promoter collects personal information but will use all reasonable efforts not to disclose the information collected to third parties. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
