Powerdirect is an Australian energy retailer offering electricity plans for residences and businesses in VIC, NSW, SA, and QLD. They do not offer gas services and they do not operate in NT, ACT or WA. 

Powerdirect offers two plans featuring simple, low pricing. These include their default market offer, with prices (and in some cases contract terms and conditions) governed by the state’s energy regulator, and their retail contract with prices set by Powerdirect. 

Powerdirect also pays feed-in tariffs to customers for energy generated through solar panels and sent back to the grid.

Powerdirect’s plans are extremely simple. They offer a retail contract and a standing contract, featuring low rates and simple pricing. Each Powerdirect residential energy plan also features:

  • A 10-day cooling-off period
  • Flexible payment options
  • Bill smoothing, which gives customers the chance to pay bills fortnightly instead of quarterly 

Powerdirect does not offer online account management so payment setup and account management is all managed via email or phone.
