Editorial Standards & Guidelines

When we say WE GIVE A BUCK, we mean it. This page explains our rigorous Editorial standards and how we ensure our content is always created in the best interests of our customers.

Our promises to our readers

  • Every piece of content we publish is written by a person who has extensive experience and expertise on the topic. The content is also reviewed by at least one other expert.
  • Each journalist and writer in our Editorial team is qualified with at least a Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
  • Our content is informed by expert analysis. Money.com.au has a team of product experts who speak to our customers and product providers every day. These experts provide the input and insights that makes our content valuable to readers. Where necessary, we also interview external experts who are appropriately qualified to comment on the topic.
  • Providers of financial products, or anyone else for that matter, cannot pay to appear in our Editorial content or receive more favourable coverage. Read about how we do make money.
  • All information that appears on Money.com.au must be clear, accurate and balanced. We cover topics ‘warts and all’ and include product drawbacks and risks, as well as the potential upside.
  • Wherever possible, we aim to show the full range of options available to consumers. We do not claim that we show ‘all’ options available in the market.
  • If we are comparing products or scenarios, we ensure it is a fair, like-for-like comparison and is not misleading. If we make any assumptions as part of a comparison, we disclose those and make any other limitations of the comparison clear.
