About Michael
Michael Burgess is a Senior Mortgage Broker at Money.com.au and an experienced property investor and real estate expert, giving him a perspective on the lending process that few other brokers can offer. His approach is direct and focused on efficiency. He cuts through complexity, communicates clearly and moves quickly to get deals done for clients.
Background and experience
Before transitioning to financial services and mortgage broking in 2021, Michael was a full-time property investor with hands-on experience building and managing property investments. He now leverages that experience to help Money.com.au clients achieve their own financial and property goals.
With expertise in both property investment and the lending side of the industry, Michael’s services are in high demand and he has settled more than 300 home loans since becoming a broker.
His expertise and experience span the full spectrum of borrowers, from first home buyers through to complex low-doc applications and advanced portfolio structuring.
Qualifications & professional memberships
Michael holds a Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking, which is the required qualification to operate as a mortgage broker in Australia. He's a member of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA).
